Third time no charm for shooting victim

There is a unique victim of the gun violence that has swept across Chicago this year.

Nineteen-year-old Dominice Hallom is a three-time victim of gun violence this year.

Hallom was shot in the buttocks Wednesday outside his parent's home in Chicago's Roseland community.

In January, Hallom was shot in the left calf. And in April, he was shot in his back and the right calf. Both shootings occurred down the block from his parents' home.

According to police, Hallom was outside his parents' home Wednesday when at least one occupant of a car opened fire. No one was in custody Wednesday, and the motive for the shooting was unclear.

While Hallom is not commenting on the shootings, his father, Tracy Hallom, is less reticent. He calls Roseland a dangerous community, adding the neighborhood is going down the drain.
