Fire damages two homes in Bartlett
Residents had to flee as fire damaged two townhouses at 474 and 476 E. Railroad Ave. Thursday in Bartlett. Lt. Dana Costa Rica of the Bartlett Fire Department said the homes are uninhabitable and the residents are staying with family and friends. Firefighters responded to the alarm about 7:30 p.m. and were still at the scene over three hours later. One person was treated at the scene and a firefighter was hospitalized for observation. It is not known if the person who was treated was one of the residents. The fire is under investigation. There was no estimate of damage and the cause is unknown.
