Walter Jacobson faces DUI charges
A retired Chicago television anchor is facing charges for driving under the influence.
Police say Walter Jacobson was arrested Wednesday evening after his car was reportedly seen swerving and striking a parked vehicle in the city's Lincoln Park neighborhood.
Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond says the 70-year-old had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit.
His telephone number wasn't listed and he declined to comment to the Chicago Sun-Times.
In 2004, Jacobson was sentenced to four months of supervision and given a $450 fine after he pleaded guilty to negligent driving, obstruction of traffic and failure to stop at a stop sign.
He's due to appear in court July 9.
