Police shoot two people in separate incidents
Chicago's Independent Police Review Authority says it is investigating two separate weekend incidents in which Chicago police shot people -- one of them fatally.
The first incident occurred early Saturday morning when officers shot and killed a South Side man while responding to a report of shots being fired in the city's Washington Park neighborhood.
The Cook County medical examiner's office has identified that shooting victim as 26-year-old Devon Young.
The second incident occurred Saturday evening on the 5900 block of South Michigan Avenue, and few details were available, except that someone was wounded.
