Motorcyclist hurt in Sugar Grove crash
A Naperville motorcyclist and his passenger were injured Monday when they were side-swiped by a car along Route 56 just north of Galena Boulevard in Sugar Grove, according to reports.
John Wojeyla of Naperville was flown to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he remains in critical condition.
His female passenger was treated and released from Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.
Sugar Grove police investigator John Sizer said the 16-year-old driver of the car hasn't yet been ticketed or charged with any crimes, although police are still investigating the accident.
Illinois State Police and tollway workers closed down the I-88 ramp to Route 56 in Sugar Grove for about three hours after the accident. The westbound lanes of Route 56 were also closed during that time.
