Design St. Charles' anniversary logo

The city of St. Charles will celebrate its 175th anniversary in 2009. Planning has begun on activities for a variety of events throughout the year to mark this special occasion.

The committee formed to organize the events, comprised of members from the City of St. Charles, the St. Charles Park District, the St. Charles Public Library, the St. Charles Heritage Center, the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, and the St. Charles Visitors and Convention Bureau, has announced a logo design contest to create a logo to be used throughout the celebrations. The winning original design will be used for publications and advertising of all anniversary related events.

The contest, open to all professional graphic designers, marketing professionals, and print professionals in St. Charles, will run through Aug, 15.

The winning business/name will receive recognition throughout the celebration for its design. Submit your design and be a part of St. Charles history. Prizes will be awarded. Winner will be announced on Sept. 5.
