Wolves fail to sweep Marlies
TORONTO -- The Chicago Wolves fell into a 2-0 hole 4:40 into the game and never recovered, eventually taking their first loss in six games, 6-1 to the Toronto Marlies in Game 4 of Western Conference finals at Ricoh Coliseum Wednesday night.
The Wolves lead the series 3-1 and will take another stab at knocking out Toronto in Game 5 at the Allstate Arena on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The Wolves, who had surrendered just 2 goals in this series, allowed a postseason-high 6 in the matchup on the way to suffering their worst loss in 17 playoff games this year.
Joel Kwiatkowski scored the Wolves' lone goal.
Wolves goalie Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 28 shots in his first loss in six games.
