Politicians allow for illegal immigration
I few weeks ago I wrote about the Mexican Consulate coming to Dundee. They did not go to Dundee. Instead they came to Carpentersville at St. Stephens Church from April 16-20.
I can understand the reason for the change of their destination. In my opinion there are more illegal immigrants in Carpentersville. The church was packed all day long. Cars were parked on all the streets near the church for four days. My guess is there probably was 500 to 600 persons a day to ask for and get the matriculation IDs from Mexico. If my figures are even close, that means over 2,000 illegal immigrants received IDs. I suggest this cannot be done without the consent of our politicians: Dick Durbin, Barack Obama, and, of course, President Bush, state Sen. Mike Noland, and Rep. Ruth Munson. Also, our local trustee, Ramirez-Sliwinski, had a hand in this farce.
There is supposed to be a law of separation of church and state. Yet, our politicians allow the candidates to use the churches to campaign, to give sanctuary to illegal immigrants who have broken our laws. I am Catholic; however, I do not agree with Pope Benedict XVI giving illegal immigrants amnesty. Jesus said, "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's." To me that means all persons should abide by our laws of which the illegal immigrants have violated. The churches who abet persons who flaunt our laws should have their tax exempt status rescinded.
Sen. John McCain, Obama, Hillary Clinton have not addressed the illegal immigration situation of which the liberal press seems to delete from their questioning when confronting the candidates. The question whom do you vote for? None of the above.
