Imrem column contributes little

Mike Imrem's column on April 16 demonstrates just how little he contributes to the local sports scene.

Specifically, on Dusty Baker's return to Chicago, Imrem expressed the hope the boos he received at Wrigley Field were not racially motivated.

Coincidentally, his colleague Barry Rozner wrote a column on the same day dedicated to the reasons why Baker is so unpopular with Cub fans.

Clearly, Rozner is not a racist, but rather a more astute sports journalist.

Imrem, on the other hand, has always tried with little success to be insightful and controversial, but his inane observations suggest he's just mailing it in.
