One more reason to vote against McCain

McCain health plan would treat employer-paid health benefits as income that employees would have to pay taxes on.

It means your employer is going to have to make an estimate on how much the employer is paying for health insurance on your behalf, and you are going to have to pay taxes on that money.

This is a horrendous plan. McCain, Palin, and their supporters must be made to answer for how these two candidates want to raise taxes on the middle class and simultaneously make health care less affordable than ever by making the current employer benefits in essence taxable income.

Not only does this plan not relieve the crushing burden on employers of health care provision, a burden in principal they should not have, but the plan makes the health care situation simply more miserable than ever for working people and families.

The plan also is part of the continuing shift of funding the government onto the working class.

Despite the falling stock market, McCain also wants to privatize Social Security.
