Peraica, Greenberg heard our voices

On Wednesday night, I attended the special Palatine village meeting that was originally supposed to feature a Q&A with Cook County Board President Todd Stroger.

Stroger predictably dropped out, but there were plenty of other politicians who took the time to come out and address the problems and concerns of attendees.

I would like to thank two of these politicians in particular for coming out.

First is Tony Peraica who is unfortunately not the Cook County Board president, but based on his comments at the meeting, he should be.

Second is Steve Greenberg, the Republican candidate for Congress in the Eighth District. Mr. Greenberg came out to show support for the people of Palatine because he is strongly against the excessive government theft of our money that we are unfortunately experiencing today.

I was able to speak with Mr. Greenberg after the meeting and hear firsthand his passion for the people of our community and his respect for how hard we have to work to earn our paychecks.

I plan on giving both Mr. Peraica and Mr. Greenberg my vote this November, as should anyone else in Cook County who is tired of being squeezed so Todd Stroger can give his cousin a raise.
