Carpentersville
• An East Dundee woman was accused of stealing $204.49 worth of groceries at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Woodman's Food Store, 2100 Randall Road, police said. Catherine M. Seiler, 50, of 448 Illinois St., was charged with felony retail theft, police said. Seiler posted $500 bond and was given a June 6 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
Elgin
• An Elgin man was arrested on a cocaine charge during a roadside safety check at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Royal Boulevard and Valley Creek Drive, police said. Frank L. Cherrye, 58, homeless of Elgin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after cocaine was found, police said. Cherrye also was wanted on a warrant for a charge of domestic battery, police said. Cherrye was held in the Kane County jail on $500 bond with a May 27 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• A Hanover Park woman was arrested on drug charges after a tip led officers to pull her over at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Angelica Rosario, 22, of 1405 Merrimac Lane, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after heroin and a pipe were found, police said. Rosario posted $500 bond and was given a June 9 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• More than $7,000 worth of electronic items were stolen from a home between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of South Weston Avenue.
Sleepy Hollow
• An Elgin man used a false name when arrested April 29 and charged with driving with a suspended license, police said. Sean Phillip Sheppard, 27, of 503 Shenandoah Trail, was arrested again Tuesday and charged with felony obstruction of justice and forgery, police said. Sheppard was held in the Kane County jail on $1,500 bond.
