Suspect arrested in bank robbery
A Chicago man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery in April of a Charter One Bank branch in the Loop.
According to the FBI, 43-year-old Darryl Rogers is being held in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago.
Officials of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force say Rogers is also a suspect in the January 16 robbery of two other bank branches. Rogers has not been charged in those incidents as of Monday.
Rogers was arrested on April 30 after he was allegedly spotted peering into the window of a Charter One Bank branch. A bank employee telephoned police after catching a glimpse of the suspect.
Police took Rogers, who was alleged to possessing a handgun, was taken into custody about a block away from that bank.
