Thanks to church for a special donation

Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) was recently on the receiving end of some very special donation. The hard working and dedicated volunteers from Wheaton Bible Church included us in this spring's CareFest 2008. A group of about 25 people gave our Carol Stream location a much needed makeover both inside and out. They spent their Saturday giving our kitchen area a fresh coat of paint. The space looks terrific! Our kitchen area is used not only by our staff but by many of our participant groups.

Additionally, our landscaping also received a much needed makeover. The front of our offices has never looked better!

We want to extend a very special thanks those involved especially Mike Leavitt and Steve Charvat from Wheaton Bible Church. We also would like to recognize Jay Smith (Smith Brothers Services) for heading up the landscaping project, Wheaton Nursery for the kind donation of flowers, trees and bushes and Hitchcock Group for providing the landscaping plans.

We applaud all the wonderful people who participated in CareFest for all the good they do in the community. And we are truly grateful that we were one of the recipients.
