Chicago bank robbery suspect caught
A Chicago man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery in April of a Charter One Bank branch in the Loop. According to the FBI, 43-year-old Darryl Rogers is being held in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago. Officials of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force say Rogers is also a suspect in the Jan. 16 robbery of two other bank branches. Rogers was arrested on April 30 after he was spotted peering into the window of a Charter One Bank branch. A bank employee telephoned police after catching a glimpse of the suspect. Police took Rogers, who was alleged to have had a handgun, into custody about a block away from that bank.
