Editorial cartoon on pope tasteless

Thank you, Daily Herald, for the good coverage of Pope Benedict's visit to the United States. He came bringing a message of peace, hope, love, and even an apology for the scandal in the Catholic Church.

But I couldn't believe that you would print the cartoon, in such poor taste, about him on the editorial page, certainly lacking in peace, hope, and love, as well as sensitivity.

I think the Daily Herald owes Pope Benedict and all the Catholic subscribers to your paper an apology.
