A handful of judges redefine marriage

About 4.6 million Californians passed a referendum defining marriage as between a man and a woman by a 61 percent majority in the year 2000.

A ballot referendum is about as close to pure democracy as you can get, yet in May of this year, four judges overturned the results, thus declaring same-sex marriage legal.

For thousands of years, the purpose of marriage has been procreation and child-rearing. Through the unique bond of marriage, new life is created and the miracle of birth occurs.

Same-sex couples are anatomically incapable of procreation. How can our advanced society, informed by scientific evidence, conclude that sodomy and marriage are equivalent and equally beneficial? Would Darwin agree?

Same-sex marriage, though inherently unencumbered with the responsibility of children, may have a profound effect upon yours.

Child custody and adoption will have to be granted equally to any form of coupling, regardless of which may be found more beneficial by future scientific evidence.

Even at the earliest ages, when mentioning Mom and Dad, teachers and schoolbooks will have to give equal credence to same-sex marriage.

Can you foresee any confusion in sexual formation occurring in children, who are trying to figure out what it means to be a boy or a girl, and how to relate to their friends?

It will be considered perfectly normal for any same-sex friendship to result in a dating or physical relationship, depending upon how the children feel.

Only the Defense of Marriage Act prevents states from being forced to recognize same-sex marriages from other states. Obama thinks DOMA should be repealed.

Same-sex marriage would not pass in a single state if a vote on it was honored. Yet a single Supreme Court justice, likely appointed by the next president, could impose the redefinition of the foundation of society on 300 million people.
