Asthma screening: 7-9 p.m. June 11 at Deerfield Public Library, 920 Waukegan Road, Deerfield. Highland Park-allergists who are asthma specialists will offer a free asthma screening program. Participants complete a questionnaire -- parents of children up to age 8 can do it on their child's behalf -- take a lung function test that involves blowing into a tube, and meet with an allergist to determine if they should seek a thorough examination and diagnosis.
