Best & Brightest

• Neal R. Johnson of Gurnee graduated magna cum laude from Trinity International University in Deerfield, with a degree in organizational leadership and communications.

• Brittany C Behrendt, daughter of Skip and Laurie Behrendt of Antioch, graduated magna cum laude from Barry University in Miami Shores, Fla., with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Brittany is ACSM-certified and is employed by Athletico in Grayslake. She is pursuing a master's degree in occupational therapy.

• Kyle Olson, son of Ron and Mary Kay Olson of Gurnee, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Mich. He is a senior majoring in finance.

• Amanda K. Marsden received a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in business from Northeastern University in Boston on May 2. She is a graduate of Grayslake Community High School, and plans to remain in Boston to pursue a master's degree.

• Kristy L Frye, daughter of Kevin and Karen Frye of Lindenhurst, received her bachelor's degree in advertising May 11 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received the Bronze Tablet Award, the highest level of recognition for academics, for the top 1 percent of the University graduating class of 2008. She received additional recognition for highest honors as well as designations in Kappa Tau Alpha and Phi Kappa Phi. She is a graduate of Antioch High School.
