Day outing at park: 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays during May at Bartlett Nature Center, 2054 W. Stearns Road. For adults 18 and older, especially senior citizens. Each session in the series includes a discussion about a different topic, such as wildlife, life before the 20th century, Native American culture or classic movies. Call for programming schedule. Laughter Sessions: 2 to 2:45 p.m. May 12; Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road. Laughter Club is free and open to newcomers at any time. Sessions are designed to strengthen the immune system; improve breathing, arterial blood flow, digestion and sleep; adjust blood pressure and blood sugar; relax muscles; burn calories and reduce pain. Starry nights: The Harper College Lifelong Learning Institute will offer "Starry, Starry Night" from 7 to 10 p.m. May 14 and June 4 at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road. The fee for both sessions is $15. Registration is required. Instructor Walt Trentadue will point out currently visible planets and stars, prominent constellations and explain their associated mythology.
