Palatine High School tightens security following threat

Palatine High School will have an increased police presence through Friday after a threatening message was found Wednesday in a bathroom stall, Principal Gary Steiger said in a message posted on the school's Web site.

The threat is not believed to be credible and school will be in session as normal, with access to the building restricted to the main entrance, Steiger said.

Anyone with information about the identity of the person who left the threat is asked to contact Steiger.
