State trooper's squad car set on fire in Chicago
Authorities say a state trooper's car was set on fire outside his home in northwest Chicago.
The Illinois State Police officer parked his car around 9 p.m. Tuesday and a short time later discovered it burning.
Firefighters put out the blaze, which damaged the trooper's video camera and ticket book. The fire apparently started when someone broke a window and poured accelerant onto a seat and lit it.
State Police spokesman Rodney Collins said there are no suspects and the investigation is continuing.
