Police investigate possible shaken baby case
Lindenhurst Police said they are investigating a possible shaken baby case involving a 10-month-old girl.
A press release issued by police late Monday said the baby was taken by Flight for Life to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital April 29 with head injuries. Her condition was not released Monday.
The baby and her mother live in the 2100 block of Fairfield Road.
The release stated an 18-year-old Lindenhurst man was arrested and later released May 1. No charges have been filed. The man is reportedly an acquaintance of the baby's mother.
Police Chief Jack McKeever said the Lake County state's attorney's office will determine charges after officials receive a detailed hospital examination report.
