ECC student clinic open for summer

The massage therapy program at Elgin Community College offers student-run massage clinics open to the public throughout the summer.

Clinics are held from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 to 2:15 p.m. Saturdays during June and July in the massage therapy clinic, Room 214 of the Advanced Technology Center on the main campus, 1700 Spartan Drive.

The fee is $35 for an hour-long session.

Massage Therapy Clinic III is a course in the final semester of student training. It's designed to provide students with the opportunity to run their own clinical business while under ECC staff supervision.

Students serve as both office managers and therapists to prepare themselves to enter the profession after passing a national certification exam and obtaining a State of Illinois license.
