Urlacher in political arena

A New Mexico congressional candidate has lined up a heavy hitter for his campaign, with Bears linebacker and New Mexico native Brian Urlacher headlining a fundraiser next week. The event for Harry Teague of Hobbs is scheduled for Wednesday in Albuquerque. Those attending will be asked for "a suggested contribution" of $250 each. Teague, who owns an oilfield services business, is among two Democrats seeking the nomination in the June 3 primary. The seat is for the 2nd Congressional District, which includes Lovington, where Urlacher grew up. He later played at the University of New Mexico.
