Stop board attacks in Carpentersville

The continuing personal attacks by Carpentersville village board President William Sarto directed at Trustee Paul Humpfer have paralyzed the village. Sarto does not have the authority to remove a trustee from the board, nor does he have the authority to forcible remove an elected trustee from the meeting room.

His tactics are similar to and reminiscent of the fascist methods employed by the Nazi party in Germany and by "Il Duce" in Italy prior to and during World War II. That the remainder of the board does not stop his personal attacks to remove Humpfer is disgraceful.

The latest attempt to stop the Audit and Finance Committee from completing necessary tasks is detrimental to the village, and his attempt to remove an honest chairman from the committee smacks of an attempt by the president to have unlimited access to village funds for his own purposes.

This is a call for the board to stop this megalomaniac and get back to the village business they were elected to manage. Sarto's personal hatred for Paul Humpfer has no place in village business and should not be tolerated.
