Charges in teen's death

A man on parole for a weapons conviction has been charged in connection with the beating death of a Chicago teenager during a melee that erupted after a weekend party. Authorities say Nathaniel Tucker is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Albert Vaughn on Saturday. Police say officers chased Tucker after the attack and arrested him in a building less than a block from the scene of the fight. Cook County state's attorney spokesman Andy Conklin says Tucker has a bond hearing scheduled later in the day. It's his 23rd birthday. Illinois Department of Correction records show Tucker is on parole for a 2005 conviction for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He was sentenced to three years in prison in that case, and his parole was scheduled to end in June 2009.
