Carillon at Cambridge Lakes

A grand boulevard entrance sets the tone for Carillon at Cambridge Lakes, a new active adult community in Pingree Grove for those at least 55 years of age.

The community by Cambridge Homes features almost 1,300 maintenance-free homes surrounded by 129 acres of open space. The builder offers three series of homes including Bayside series townhouses, Resort series freestanding single-family homes and Composer series attached single-family homes. The community provides a 24-hour guard and security patrol.

Located east of Route 47 off Higgins Road, Carillon at Cambridge Lakes will have a community clubhouse with a variety of social and fitness amenities such as an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as tennis and bocce ball courts, horseshoes, walking trails, a free three-hole golf course, community garden and play area for visiting grandchildren.

Carillon at Cambridge Lakes is next to Cambridge Lakes, a master-planned community with its own amenities that features almost 3,000 homes.

"Carillon at Cambridge Lakes is designed for active adults who want the advantages of living in a resort-style community with others who share similar interests while being able to live near their children and grandchildren," said Paul Ivers, president of Cambridge Homes.

The attached single-family homes are brand new designs debuting at the community where visitors can tour four decorated models.

The Bach priced from $218,000 features 1,401 square feet, two bedrooms and two baths. A sun room is optional. This home is shown as a basic model so visitors can see a home that reflects the base price.

A palette of earth tones and a touch of the West Indies, plants, urns and wood carved animals accessorize the home.

Off the foyer, the eat-in kitchen features black appliances, furniture-quality cabinets with a choice of four different stains, pantry and ceramic tile floor. There's plenty of room for the round wood table and chairs where homeowners can enjoy morning coffee or casual family meals by the window.

A pass-through into the dining room adds convenience for the cook and allows conversation between the two rooms. The oversized dining room features a black rectangular table set for six and credenza with decorative items. The living room with media center features a sofa and two comfortable chairs while a fireplace is optional.

Through an arched entry, the master suite shows a brown paisley print bedspread topped with pillows, matching end tables and dresser and mirror while striped draperies dress the windows. There's a corner chair for reading before bedtime and a walk-in closet. The bath has two sinks and walk-in shower with clear glass doors and seat.

The second bedroom is outfitted as a home office with a desk, bookshelves and two matching striped chairs. Framed animal prints adorn the walls.

The Mozart priced from $221,000 features 1,528 square feet, two bedrooms, two baths, and the available sun room.

Tangerine, teal and brown enhance the light, bright, open interior of this design that is decorated with a Florida theme. Paintings of the seashore and shells, starfish and cactus plants accessorize the home.

The dining room features an arrangement of four tangerine chairs around a low table, perfect for conversation. A fireplace with glass doors highlights the living room and a nubby sofa and two blue chairs offer seating. A volume ceiling tops both rooms.

The kitchen features teal walls, bisque appliances and cabinets, center island and pantry. Set for four, the host serves up shrimp cocktail at the breakfast table. Homeowners can enjoy morning coffee and the outdoors in the adjoining sun room.

An arched opening leads to the master suite with a coffered ceiling, box bay and walk-in closet. A fluffy teal spread covers the bed. The bath features dual sinks, tub and walk-in shower with seat and clear glass doors and wallpaper the color of the sea.

Off the foyer, the second bedroom in the front of the home features white furnishings, desk with small bookshelves on either side, hand painted faces on wall, and a comfortable chair and ottoman.

This open floor plan allows for flexibility in furniture placement.

The remaining two attached single-family home models include Haydn from $232,000 with 1,668 square feet, two bedrooms, two baths and den and Beethoven from $231,000 with 1,716 square feet with two master bedrooms, two baths and den.

With models for each series of homes, visitors can tour a total of 11 model homes at the community.
