Lake Forest dancer in 'Don Quixote' at weekend festival

Jessica DeJean of Lake Forest will appear in a scene from the ballet "Don Quixote" during the Chiwaukee Dance Festival at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan. She is an advanced ballet student at Dancenter North in Libertyville.

The Festival will feature a Gala Performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, including performances by the Joffrey Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Especially Tap Chicago and others. The Festival will continue at 4:30 p.m. Sunday with the Best of the Midwest Showcase featuring top student and semi-professional talent from Illinois, Wisconsin and Kentucky.

Tickets for the gala range from $20 to $30, while tickets for the Best of the Midwest Showcase are $15. All tickets can be purchased at the Genesee Theatre box office or through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (312) 559-1212.
