Teen shot and killed
Hours before he was fly to Seattle to start life anew, a teenager was gunned down in the South Side Chicago neighborhood where he once lived and frequently visited. Instead of gathering Wednesday to bid 18-year-old James Bush goodbye, relatives consoled each other over the teenager's death from a gunshot wound in the chest late Tuesday. Alan Hall said he heard five or six shots outside his home and saw Bush lying in his front yard, yelling he had been shot. He said he saw a car come by and pick up the wounded Bush before speeding off. Bush was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Police said they had no one in custody and believed the shooting may have been gang-related. But Bush's family and friends said he merely hung around the wrong people.
