Kids to walk raising Make-A-Wish funds
Patton Elementary School in District 25, Arlington Heights, is holding a Walk a Thon from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Patton, 1616 N. Patton, to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation. The group is sponsoring a child, Kimberly, whose wish is to go to Disneyworld. About 200 kids signed up to walk and many staff member volunteers will help with the walk. The goal is to raise at least $5,000 to grant the wish.

Summer play auditions at Harper
Auditions for Harper's summer production of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday in Room L109, Building L. All are welcome to try their hand at the Edward Albee script.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m. July 22-July 24, and July 28-July 30. The play tells the story of George, a college professor, and his wife Martha, and what ensues when the couple -- who have anything but an idyllic marriage -- invite another young couple over for a nightcap.
Photo collectors show is Sunday
The Chicago Photographic Collectors Society will present its 37th annual International Camera and Image Show and Sale will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, at the Holiday Inn - Rolling Meadows, 3405 Algonquin Road. Admission is a $6 donation at the door, $4 for children and students with school ID.
