Red Cross to offer CPR for the pros
The Fox River Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer CPR/AED classes for the Professional Rescuer from May through August.
"This Red Cross class meets the requirements for health care professionals and American Red Cross lifeguards who need to renew their CPR certification," said Ron Clayton, healthy and safety manager for the chapter.
The class is open to anyone and is not restricted to professionals. It is good for those who wish to be prepared to respond in any situation calling for CPR, whether the emergency involves adults, children or infants.
The classes also include Automated External Defibrillation training for use on adults and children.
All classes will be held two consecutive week nights from 6 to 10 p.m. at the chapter offices, 121 N. Second St., St. Charles. The schedule is May 14 and 15, June 17 and 18, July 15 and 16 and Aug. 13 and 14.
The cost for the class is $62. Advance registration is required and can be made by calling the chapter offices at (630) 443-8844. Payment can be made over the phone with a credit card.
