Free Fitness Fridays: Pavilion Fitness, 1000 Wellington Ave., Elk Grove Village will host Free Fitness Fridays in April. Come to the health club on any Friday in April and enjoy a free workout. The health club is open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. All Free Friday participants will need to fill out a guest pass form and present a picture ID. Every Free Friday visitor will be entered into a raffle to win prizes. For additional information call (847) 228-3494

Annual trees art exhibit: The Artist Association of Elk Grove and The Elk Grove Park District present the annual Trees Art Exhibit 2008 through April 26 at the Elk Grove Village Public Library, 1001 Wellington Ave. For details, call (847) 437-0252.

High Tea Afternoon Delight: The Sheila Ray Adult Center will host the fourth annual High Tea and Fashion Show from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, at 1000 Wellington, Elk Grove Village in the Garden Terrace Room. Tea, finger sandwiches and desserts will be served by formally dressed gentlemen. The fashion show is presented by "Weekend Fashions" featuring ladies fashions sizes 0-24. Family Health & Wellness Fair: The Elk Grove Park District is hosting the annual Family Health and Wellness Fair from noon to 3 p.m. April 12 at the Elk Grove Park District Pavilion, 1000 Wellington Ave. There are free screenings, community health booths and giveaways. Alexian Brothers Hospital Network is providing free screenings on cholesterol, blood pressure, body fat analysis, spinal nerve, posture, eye exams, etc. Village services will have booths providing information and counseling. Earth Day Special Event: The Earth Day celebration will be from 1 to 4 p.m. April 20. This is a combined celebration for the grand opening of the Olmstead Nature Shack and Earth Day. Participants are invited to Olmstead Park to learn about the benefits of going green, recycle a variety of household items, and listen to earth-friendly entertainers. Schedule also includes animal demonstrations and kid friendly workshops. There is no cost to participate. Bring cell phones, gym shoes, plastic bags, and electronics to recycle.
