A GOP mindset of blaming other guy

Over the last few weeks, I have noticed the letters to the editors from the usual people spewing the talking points of the day against the Democrats.

The common theme is venom and hate without any facts or with wild exaggerations and false accusations.

Don't let those pesky facts get in the way.

Have you noticed they don't say vote for my person? All they do is say don't vote for the other person.

It is a sad situation when you can't find anything factually good to say about your own candidate so the only thing to do is make personal attacks about the other one.

I have also noticed that it is never the Republicans fault. It is the media, the previous president or some Democratic, or the current candidate or the kids down the street or whoever, but never them.

You know the ones, like the current financial crisis or the attacks on 9/11 are because of Clinton.

These people are so blinded by hatred that they don't realize how they are really making Bush look even worse by saying it was Clinton's fault.

If Clinton did something wrong eight to 16 years ago and Bush didn't do anything to correct the problem, then you are basically saying that Bush was so bad that he either a) wasn't smart enough to know about it or b) was so incompetent that he didn't do anything to fix the problem.

The fact is that the current financial crisis happened on his watch, during his presidency. And as such, it is his fault.

Just like the attack on 9/11, just like the war in Iraq and anything else that happened (both good and bad) over the last eight years.

You cannot take credit for only the good things and blame others for the bad things.

People need to take responsibility for your own action. Remember "The Buck Stops Here."
