Downtown needs handicap spaces

I would like to know why there are no handicapped parking spaces in downtown Arlington Heights.

I know in the parking garage there are some, but nothing close to the shopping area.

When a person is in a wheelchair or using a walker, etc., it is difficult for these people to get around.

I feel the trustees and the mayor should take a look at the situation and accommodate us who can't get around like people who could.
