• DePaul University in Chicago announced the following students graduated last summer.

• Bradley University in Peoria awarded bachelor's degrees to the following students at the May 19, 2007 commencement ceremonies.

Arlington Heights: Robert Francis Andry, cum laude; Kristin Jeanne Althoff, cum laude; Robert Francis Andry, cum laude; Christopher James Nowack, summa cum laude; Jenna Michelle Siok, summa cum laude; and Nina Renee Tiberi, cum laude.

To achieve summa cum laude honors, a student must achieve a 3.8 or better grade point average. For cum laude honors, a 3.4 or better GPA is required.

• Tyler Pagano of Arlington Heights received his bachelor's degree in physical education: sports management in August from Valparaiso University in Indiana.

• Allison Pozdol from Arlington Heights, a senior majoring in music at Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, performed a mezzo-soprano voice recital in the Noble Recital Hall of the Jenson-Noble Music Hall in October 2007. She is the daughter of Andy and Judy Pozdol of Arlington Heights, and a 2004 graduate of Rolling Meadows High School.

• Robyn Gorski, daughter of William and Laura Gorski of Arlington Heights, was accepted last fall into the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Institute at Albion College. Honors students are required to enroll in four "Great Issues" seminars in humanities, science, social science and fine arts. In addition to the seminars, Honors students must graduate with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and produce an Honors thesis. Gorski, a freshman at Albion, is a graduate of Buffalo Grove High School.

• Margherite Brucci, daughter of Paul and Adeline Brucci, was the recipient of a scholarship at a banquet in November from The Calabrese in America Organization, a Chicagoland Italian organization. The 2007 Prospect High School graduate is a student at Indiana University in Bloomington.

• James Taylor of Arlington Heights graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration Nov. 17 from Robert Morris College in Chicago.

• Kim Woodsum of Arlington Heights and a senior at Buffalo Grove High School, signed a National Letter of Intent Nov. 14 with Baylor University where she will be a member of Baylor's Equestrian Team, a Division I Equestrian team. Woodsum has been riding for eight years, and competed in the Children's Hunter Division at the 2006 nationals in Washington D.C. In May 2007, she placed 8th in the Children's Division of the Legacy Cup in Kentucky. Woodsum is the second member of her family to compete in Division I athletics. In addition to her athletic scholarship, Woodsum will receive Baylor Universtiy's President Gold academic scholarship award.

• The University of Kansas announced the following students were candidates for graduation at the May 20 commencement ceremony in Lawrence. Graduates, their parents, majors and high schools include the following.

Arlington Heights: Scott Kenneth Lesniak, communication studies and sociology, son of Ken and Kathryn Lesniak, Rolling Meadows High School graduate; Brette M. Parker, communication studies and journalism, strategic communications, daughter of Bruce and Nancy Parker, Buffalo Grove High School graduate; Samantha Erin Weiler, general studies/communication studies and psychology, son of Dan Weiler, St. Viator High School graduate; and Jaime Beth Zazove, communication studies and history, daughter of Steven and Maureen Zazove, Buffalo Grove High School graduate.

• The University of Wisconsin-Madison named the following students to the 2006-07 spring Dean's List for ranking in the top 10 percent of their class or achieving a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
