What goes around, comes around again
I attended the April 1 Carpentersville Village Board meeting at which President Bill Sarto and Trustee Linda Ramirez-Sliwinski tried to oust Paul Humpfer from his elected position as trustee.
I am very happed to say they did not succeed. Ramirez-Sliwinski said she was ashamed because no one would second her motion. Siding with Ramirez-Sliwinski , Sarto said the village was trying to create a sanctuary for wife beaters, to me an exaggeration.
It was and still is about illegal immigration. Sarto chastised a resident for using the words "illegal immigration," then lo, and behold, Sarto talks 10 to 20 minutes on "illegal immigration."
Ramirez-Sliwinski said the Mexican Consulate would be coming to Dundee to issue papers from the Mexican government. I can't comprehend why the Mexican Consulate would do this, except to help illegals. Legal immigrants already have all the proper documents they need. Methinks something smells bad with this issue.
And talk about coincidences. Ramirez-Sliwinski has implied that those of who spoke out against illegal immigration were racists. And what, to my surprise, did I find when I read my April 7 paper? She is a racist toward her black neighbors.
What goes around, comes around. It sure has ricocheted back at Ramirez-Sliwinski. She says she probably will not seek re-election next year. Maybe she will move to Mexico. I am sure she will be much happier there.
