Accident snarls Randall Road

Elgin police shut down the north and southbound lanes of Randall Road Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Bowes Road following a motorcycle accident. Elgin Police Sgt. Dennis Hood said the accident occurred at about 5:18 p.m. today and the motorcyclist received non-life threatening injuries. Police re-opened the lanes by 6:30 p.m. The cyclist hit a Nissan Centra, resulting in a four-vehicle crash, Hood said.
