A suburban Berwyn man accused of a series of random attacks on six people in downtown Chicago is being held in the Cook County jail on $500,000 bond.

Perdue was charged with six counts of aggravated battery in the attacks Wednesday evening. Among those assaulted was WLS-Channel 7 news anchor Cheryl Burton.
