Downers Grove man killed in motorcycle crash

A 47-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday after losing control of his motorcycle on New Avenue near Joliet and slamming into the side of a truck, Will County Coroner officials said Tuesday.

According to officials, Gregory D. Holman of Downers Grove was killed at around 7:15 p.m.

He died of blunt trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene about one quarter mile from Cisco Road in unincorporated DuPage Township.

Illinois state police are still investigating the accident and the coroner's are waiting for toxicology reports on the cyclist.
