2nd amendment is important as others

Yes, Mr. Benton (Fence Post, March 26), let's do away with the second amendment, and while we're at it, do away with the first amendment also so no paper will publish silly letters that you write.

To enforce that, we'll also do away with the fourth amendment so that the police can come to your house without a warrant and make sure you're not writing letters you shouldn't.

And to enforce that, let's do away with the fifth so that when the police question you and cuff you around a little, you'll have no one to accept your complaint.

Also let's abolish the sixth amendment so that the police can take you directly to jail without a trial.
