Rev. Wright shows liberal news bias
Is there a liberal bias in the media? What were we suppose to think when we opened the paper to find "The great divide" headline, Obama's speech in reaction to the Rev. Wright controversy on the front page?
What controversy? After all, the Daily Herald, like most news organizations had simply ignored the story up to this point.
You would think it would be a little bit embarrassing to run a front page story that's a reaction to a story that you did think was worth printing.
On the other hand, we have the John McCain lobbyist story, a he said, she said story which leaned heavily on innuendo, on the front page less than a month ago.
So we have one story, with sketchy facts questioning McCain judgment for associating with a questionable lobbyist over a two-year period, on the front page, and we have a second story with very compelling video footage questioning Obama's judgment for associating with a radical pastor over a 20-year period.
One is front page news: the other does not get printed at all. Seem fair?
