Two plead guilty in central Illinois cocaine ring
URBANA -- Two people have pleaded guilty to being part of a drug ring that moved crack cocaine from Chicago to Champaign-Urbana.
Sasha Daley of Chicago and Kristopher Davis of South Holland pleaded guilty Monday in federal court to conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine.
A third person, Olaitan Fowowe (OH'-leh-tahn foh-WAH'-wee), admitted he ran the ring and pleaded guilty to the same charge earlier this month.
Prosecutors have said Fowowe ran the ring while serving a work-release sentence for an earlier drug conviction. Authorities found almost four pounds of powder cocaine and two pounds of crack when they arrested the three in December.
All three are scheduled to be sentenced in September.
