Teenager shot to death in Waukegan

An 18-year-old man was shot and killed on the 700 block of Pine Street near Grand Avenue in Waukegan around 2:20 p.m. Friday, Waukegan police said.

The victim was identified as Miguel Celis of Waukegan. He was shot not far from his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:27 p.m., said Lake County Coroner Richard Keller.

An autopsy will be performed at 9 a.m. today. The investigation is ongoing.
