Hello 'Goodbye Girl'

Director Gary Griffin returns to Oak Brook Terrace to direct "The Goodbye Girl," the musical version of Neil Simon's Academy Award-winning 1977 film about an insecure single mother forced to share a New York apartment with an irascible actor.

Susan Moniz and Bernie Yvon star in the production, which begins previews Thursday at Drury Lane Oakbrook, 100 Drury Lane, Oak Brook Terrace. "The Goodbye Girl" opens Dec. 3. (630) 530-0111.

Boys will be boys

Steppenwolf Theatre presents the world premiere of "Good Boys and True," Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's drama about a scandal at a boys' prep school that threatens to derail the perfect life of one of its most popular and privileged students.

'Oklahoma!' O.K.

Light Opera Works concludes the year on a high note with its production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's well-loved "Oklahoma!"

LOW Artistic Director Rudy Hogenmiller directs the show, which stars Will Reynolds as charming cowboy Curly and Natalie Ford as Laurey, the comely farm gal who catches his eye.

The musical opens Saturday at Cahn Auditorium on the Northwestern University campus at 600 Emerson St., Evanston. (847) 869-6300.
