Wright controversy shows Obama flaws
In an attempt to salvage his presidential campaign and minimize damage to his political career, Barack Obvama turned the Rev. Wright controversy into a racial issue.
This is not about race, and he is being disingenuous to mention race.
The truth is he has gotten a pass on religion and almost everything else including his total lack of experience to be our commander-in-chief.
Obama's perception about what you and I hear from the pulpit on Sunday is 180 degrees from reality.
My pastor wouldn't touch politics with a 10-foot poll and the closest he would come to abortion is, "we must respect the right to life."
The real issue in this controversy is the separation of church and state.
This minister and others like him have gotten away with expounding on their political views from the pulpit for so long they consider it their mission. It's ironic we can't say "In God we trust " in our public schools but he can say "God Damn America" from the pulpit of his tax exempt church.
If Barack H. Obama wasn't aware of what Rev. Wright is all about after being a member of this church for 20 years, he certainly isn't capable of being our commander-in-chief.
We don't want a commander-in-chief who wants to negotiate with the terrorists and trust them more than he trusts President Bush.
We want a president the terrorists fear, someone like George Bush, who says what he means and does what he says, and that's John McCain.
Barack Obama doesn't have a resume that matches this job description. Obama's political ideology is far left. He is the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate.
We don't need "change" in America. We need the rest of the world to change and become more like America. Then we wouldn't have so many illegal immigrants leaving their corrupt governments and economies to seek a better life here.
We do need "some change" in America. Let's start with term limits!
