So what's next for Arlington Market?

As one of many neighborhood residents who was opposed to the Arlington Market development as it was proposed, it is now quite interesting to see how little has been developed after all the controversy.

The entire old market was quickly demolished, leaving one with the hope of renewal to come. While many other developments in the Village are moving along nicely, the Arlington Market has only constructed the small row of commercial development.

The rest of this huge property is a dusty wasteland. Some of us are wondering if the residential development is going to go ahead as planned, or has the downturn in the real estate market left our neighborhood with an even greater eyesore with which to contend?
