Carpentersville

• A Carpentersville woman was accused of stabbing her husband at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Lori W. Anderson, 40, of 1920 Prairie Path Lane, was charged with aggravated battery with a weapon and domestic battery, police said. The husband treated at Sherman Hospital in Elgin and released. Anderson posted $7,500 bond and was given a May 8 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Elgin

• A man was accused of propositioning a woman Wednesday and when she refused, a struggle ensued, police said. James Ulrich, 55, of 1620 Alison Drive, was charged with solicitation of a sexual act and battery, police said. Ulrich posted $2,500 bond and was given an April 29 court at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An Elgin man who failed to turn himself in on an assigned court date was arrested Wednesday, police said. Stacy Luellen, 25, of 380 Jefferson Ave., was charged Thursday with aggravated assault, police said. Luellen was sentenced to 180 days in the Kane County jail. He was taken from Elgin's lockup Thursday and began serving his sentence immediately.

• A business on the 0-100 block of Tyler Creek Plaza was broken into at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Police viewed a surveillance tape that showed a man throwing a 5-inch rock through the front window, entering the business through the opening, jumping across the front counter and rifling through the cash register drawer. Police said $100 to $150 was taken from the drawer.

West Dundee

• An East Dundee teen was accused of stealing a credit card and charging more than $1,000 on it in West and East Dundee, police said. Terry Steagall, 17, of 140 Howard Ave., was charged with four felonies, two counts of unlawful use of a credit card, residential burglary and theft, police said. Steagall was held in the Kane County jail on $5,000 bond with an April 23 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• An Elgin woman was accused of shoplifting $249.99 in merchandise Wednesday at Sears in Spring Hill Mall, police said. Gladys Rodriguez, 17, of 1220 Peachtree Lane, was charged with felony retail theft, police said. Rodriguez was held in the Kane County jail on $1,500 bond with a May 8 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
