Senior walkers take to forest preserve
Senior citizens are invited for a walk through Burnidge Forest Preserve from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday on the monthly Senior Stroll.
The free program takes place at alternating forest preserves throughout Kane County. Weather permitting, the program includes a brief, naturalist-guided hike with a focus on varying nature topics.
Meet new people or catch up with old friends. All area seniors are welcome to join this event. Register in advance by calling the Forest Preserve District of Kane County at (847) 741-8350, ext. 10.

Junior golf offered this summer
Has your child been inspired by Tiger Woods? Or maybe they just want to play a game outdoors with Mom, or Dad.
Dundee Township Park District is offering summer junior golf activities and programs.
Parents and young golfers are invited to join them from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday for a night of fun and education at the Junior Golf Open House at the Randall Oaks Golf Clubhouse, 4101 Binnie Road, West Dundee.
The Randall Oaks golf staff will be on hand to answer questions and to assist in program selection. Manufacturers' representatives from leading golf equipment companies also will be present to help fit young golfers with equipment for the upcoming season.
