Praise for a great Bloomingdale cop

The Bloomingdale Police Department is losing one of its finest officers. Deputy Chief Tom Schreiber is retiring on May 2 after serving this community for more than 30 years.

We are proud to have served with him on our local Character Counts board and also on the Senior Citizens Advisory Council to the Bloomingdale Police Department. Deputy Chief Schreiber has been such a strong force in the lives of so many seniors and we have learned so much from him. We have been kept abreast of what is happening in our community and warned of any current scams that seek out seniors.

The Bloomingdale Police Department is losing a fine police officer and the senior population is losing a good friend. We would like to wish him good luck and God speed in whatever he chooses to do in the future.
